I maintain that Lucifer IS physically shrinking as his depression eats away at his essence: in the Eden flashback he's Lilith's height, in some of the portraits with young Charlie he's only a little shorter than Lilith, and now he's much shorter than both Lilith and Charlie. XD Wasting away!

I had the same thought. That as long as you don't say the quiet part out loud, he'll stick around. The MOMENT you try and label it, assume his feels, he goes batshit and there is now NO relationship whatsoever.

Very true. Regardless of whether the viewer thinks it looks like trash or are blown away, that piece took someone effort and time, & shows that they had passion for it. That's the most important part of art, not the end result! So even if it's not to your tastes, respect it for the heart it has. 🥰

I am not sure what the context could be that excuses it all, personally. I've dealt with neglect/emotional abuse myself, and this sparks that same anxiety in me. 😭

Exactly. And the flashback sequence where Lili took Charlie hurt me. It's not like Charlie was bothering her dad, and he seemed to want her there, so it just felt needlessly cruel. And that's before she left, long before. So whatever relationship they once had seems to have been over even then...

Def all stuff I have thought for awhile! I don't know what the show could do to "salvage" the relationship for my tastes (if they go that route). Just seems like a semi-toxic -- or at least neglectful/abandoned -- marriage. :/

I'm now imagining he gave him the one that turned out crappiest, the one his ego wouldn't let him give to anyone he liked. XD
