Virginia's candidates for governor on guns, trans issues and campaign enthusiasm Virginia’s election is less than three weeks away. Brad Kutner spent some time with the candidates for the state’s highest office.

I am very happy to have been featured in a story published today by Radio IQ and Virginia Public Radio. The story is a look at the Virginia gubernatorial race focusing on the candidates stances on transgender issues and gun rights and how the two are intertwined.

My undersranding is that the "criminal" who is is causing the situation usually has any resulting deaths tied to them given the theory that their criminal action caused the situation in which the person died.

Back doing my thing. I have been teaching our Pistol Shooting 101 class almost every weekend since the election. I love helping our community learn to protect itself and helping folks get their CCW permits.

In 24 hours we've gotten executive orders attempting to ban gender affirming care, ban recognition of trans youth in schools, ban trans employees in the federal government. It's a full on societal purge of trans people.

They meant it when they said they wanted to eradicate us.

This is a straight up ignorant take. All this would do is make it harder and harder for marginalized communities to be able defend themselves. Each of these "madatory" ideas is more cost that gatekeeps those with less financial means from being able to exercise their 2nd Amendment rights.

Had the pleasure of talking with M6 Info news from Paris about how the transgender community & other marginalized groups are feeling right now. At ATW we have been working for years to help our community members learn to defend themselves and their families. We will always continue to be a resource.

These executive orders on banning federally funded entities from recognizing trans people or disallowing them from using the bathroom are not self-executing or immediately enforceable. They require formal rule making at a minimum. They are a scare tactic. Ignore and do not comply in advance.

There is no joy in taking health insurance coverage away from any of our constituents, including trans children of active duty service members here in Virginia.

You can’t support our troops by making it harder for families to afford medically necessary health care prescribed by their doctors.

I would take that meeting.

Had a large group for Pistol Shooting 101 yesterday and everyone did amazing. So many first time shooters including this person! After a few shots with the .22 pistol, they dropped 5 shots in the exact same hole with the 9mm and continued to amaze as the target was moved further out.
