Who should I call at ISD or the ABCC to report premature Christmas decorations in a Boston pub?

What podcasts, streamers, substacks, blogs, and newsletters do you follow?

What news and commentary do you pay for?

This is a bill to concentrate both political and market power in Massachusetts cannabis and pave the way for it to become a billionaire-controlled industry. It doesn't happen because it's inevitable, it happens slowly and over time because of intentional policy choices like this bill.

Is there anything you're stocking up on before we feel the Trump Tariff Taxes on imports from Canada, Mexico, & China?

Thanks. I assume it's similar in Lowell or anywhere in MA. Our EI intake person made it sound like there's a gap btwn 3 & kindergarten but that's good to hear

Can someone explain why there's no developmental support for kids 3-5 years old?

Seems weird to offer early intervention from 1.5-3 & special ed in starting in kindergarten but leave kids & parents on their own for 2 formative yrs.

What challenges or opportunities do you foresee for advocacy professionals in the next decade?

Politicians continue to demonize and blame "the groups" for their political results -- and use that as an excuse to be more resistant to policy change.

Increasing difficulty reaching, polling, persuading, and activating constituents as churn and burn, list swapping, other abusive digital and SMS practices, and deprioritization of political and news content on social make people harder to reach.

Hopelessness, increasing social stigma related to wokeness/groups/DEI/Democrats and/or fear of retaliation by government, employers, customers, society/the mob.

What would you add?

How would you turn them to opportunities?

I hope more people of all backgrounds and politics come here and wouldn't mind some debating and arguing in addition to all the positive and personal stuff people share and discuss.

As long as the moderation & algo are up for it. Feeds seem good for following & engaging different types of accounts

* Politicians should go on more hostile media if they can negotiate reasonable terms.

** It is a shame someone who voted for Bernie has gone so in the tank w (other) right wing billionaires -- but he and his audience will never come back if no one Dems talk to them.

It's nuts how many people insist that this guy is entitled to have VP Harris travel to him in TX and sit through three hours of this.*

Was there today for the H.R. 9495 vote (bill that would have allowed labeling nonprofits as terrorist supporting organizations).

Voted no, of course - but I do want to report that the activism DID work and persuaded members.

I thought it’d be a lonely NO vote, which we take often. It wasn’t.

β€ͺJust heard someone on NPR say that the fact that Gaetz was appointed is a sign of how few loyalists Trump has.

Not sure if I buy it, but that's the kind of copium I'm looking for this Monday morning.

It's weird how pundits and right wingers never seem to care about the other side using dehumanizing language from illegal to fag but have such strong opinions about talking about people like they're humans.

Are you still using Twitter? If so, any differently than pre-Elon?

Are you posting BS screenshots to Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, & LinkedIn -- or the reverse, or both?
