Till's heavenly black coffee was made by: (a) a guy named Ivan who has a massive sweet tooth and hates bitter things; (b) someone who didn't even work at the coffee shop; and (c) a possibly shy freshman in his department?!

A pair of black eyes snaps on his way. Till found himself having a staring competition with the guy, Ivan. The guy stares for a moment, before he explodes in red, sweating as he mumbled gibberish stuff. “Uh- um, I- I mean, uh…”

'Okay, new information.'

"Hold on, I'll whip it up for you quickly. And don't even think about paying for it. Consider it as a thanks for watching over our shop and also as a gift for passing your entrance exam in Anakt University. Fine Arts, right?"

"Yup."

So evidently, the god-tier life-changing amazing black coffee that he had consumed just now was made by: (a) a guy named Ivan who has a massive sweet tooth and hates bitter things; and (b) someone who didn't even work here?!

"I don't. I wanted to order my usual heavy cream latte with extra white mocha sauce. But like I've said earlier, Sua bailed on me. So... here we are."

Till looks down on his empty cup. He began contemplating his life for a moment. 'Fuck.'

"Hyuna-noona? No, she hasn't. I'm here because of Sua. Yeah, Sua bailed on me in the middle of my order. Something about salvaging her relationship with her goddess or something hahaha."

Isaac chuckles. "Order? I thought you don't like bitter coffees."

The tall young man, Ivan, merely widened his smile. Till noticed the small snaggletooth poking over his tight lips. Ivan tilts his head as he replies.

"Oh crap. Did Hyuna drunk-hire you again, Ivan?"

A low voice called out from the entrance door. Till remembers the guy, Isaac, the coffee shop's assistant manager.

'Wait, what did he just say?' Till tries to be as discreet as he could, as he slowly turns towards the two men.

Till may have this thing that he likes to call as 'mild craving', although Mizi would like to call it 'borderline addiction'.

Till grins as he gulps down the coffee, savoring every drop as he licks his mouth in satisfaction. Maybe he could swing by at this coffee shop again in the future—

Ding!

And that's saying something, considering that Till pretty much has coffee beans running through his veins at this point rather than blood after considering caffeine as water instead of, well, water.

He whipped his head to look at the counter. He was surprised to see a smiling tall young man with black hair rather than the usual short girl with a nonchalant stare. Till slowly look down at the coffee once more.

'This is, by far, the best coffee that I have ever tasted.'

After a lot of typing, scratching his head in frustration, and flipping the pages of the book, he finally hits the enter button with a big sigh of relief.

Reaching over to grab the lukewarm coffee, Till braces himself to the usual awful taste. 'Wait what?'

“Here’s your coffee, sir.”

Typing away on his laptop, he merely mumbled a quick thanks at the server as a newly brewed black coffee was placed on his table. His eyes shift from the screen of his laptop to his open book, before looking back at the screen once more.

Mainly because of the fact that, although it's technically a coffee shop, said shop serves crappy coffee. But this is the only place where Till can have peace and quiet as well as free fast WIFI, all for the cost of one cup, so don’t blame Till for taking full advantage of the situation.

He did his usual routine: walk inside the coffee shop, order his usual coffee, and go straight to his usual spot right at the very corner of the place.

The coffee shop has its fair share of customers here and there on good days, though it's usually vacant just like right now.

College and Coffee Shop au

Till, a 3rd year college student, plans to have a final review in a local coffee shop that he frequented for the last few weeks, before starting college once more the next day.

Hearing the usual whine echoing from the entrance, Till snickers as he tosses away yet another pile of lists of ladies in the kingdom.

—Till, with Ivan as the new ‘witch’. Thus, here they are.

But after one too many failed attempts at finding the 'perfect' match for the king, Ivan starts to make a giant fuss every day, knocking on the big golden doors, whining and growling loudly as the guards sigh on the corner.

What matters is, right now, Ivan needs Till to give him his first kid. Since the previous Queen died early on— way before Till's father had made a deal with Ivan's guardian, both parties had come to an agreement that the deal would only be fulfilled through—

They've made a deal: Ivan will provide absolute safety of the kingdom, and Till will provide him with his first-born.

Well, more specifically, Ivan’s guardian made a deal with the previous King, Till's dead father. But that's besides the point.
