From the hot tub, Sam looked up at the Clockodile dubiously. It smiled, which didn't help. 'Doctor,' she muttered, 'I thought you said this lot were galactic conquerors.' 'Not every Clockodile fits the power-mad warrior stereotype, Sam.' The reptile protested, 'Millions of us moved from the homeworld to escape all that!' Sam flushed. 'Sorry,' she stammered, 'I should know better.' She sagged in the water as the Clockodile asymmetrically massaged her feet. 'Is that why you're called that? You've got a big hand and a little hand?' 'I'll explain later,' said the Doctor. 'For now, just relax.' The Clockodile winked.

'Thank you for showing me this.' 'Your paper is due on Friday.'

A violent noise exploded into the dream. Louder. Again. He winced -- his hands flew not to his ears, but to his eyes -- he awoke -- -- six inches from the jaws of a hypnotic Carfax corpse blossom. Nearby, desperate to wake him, Fitz was playing The Immigrant Song through a portable speaker. A moment for sorrow. Then the Doctor grabbed Fitz by the guitar strap and ran.
