The view from plot 30
From Zach Moss
I'm now an allotment owner [π§βπΎ].
And will obviously be blogging about it. Mainly to track how bad I might be at growing vegetables, because also because I'm now experimenting with AI coding... zachmoss.github.io/allotmentnot...

I do think there is an age element to this - where long trips just don't appeal in quite the same way when you're older. It's also why travel can be so great in a way - in that eveyrone can have a different experience based on what context/experience you bring to it

I would like someone to make a link between the discussion about no jury trials and the state of the Court system... @kitzingercelia.bsky.social ???
There is no doubt system needs modernising... not convinced clearing backlog leads to that though. May help clear the way though?

That situation where you assume policies make sense... until you read them or have someone (try) to explain them in plain english... much the same in my experience with restaurants trying to deal with allergies... some of the responses are just silly.

Weeknote, w/c 13 October 2025
Nice:
"I think we often forget that [work] is really a bunch of people peopling around and trying to make sense of this world."

Mr Blobby patriotism
Over recent weeks I have found myself thinking about the country we live in, what it feels like and what I like, and love, about it.
I guess I found myself thinking about this because of the summer w...
"Most of us basically love our country, even if begrudgingly β not the version weβre told to, or even presented with, but the one we really see and live in every day. Silly Sausage Britain is the Britain most of us reside in, and love."

For those of us who have always believed in assisted dying, it's quite an extraordinary thing to see happen. The kind of daring, delicate, sensitive decision which British politics almost always ducks - suddenly grasped.
