The main purpose of this workshop is to familiarize participants with key Bayesian concepts in hypothesis testing using JASP, a program whose GUI allows us to focus on core Bayesian concepts and principles rather than software technicalities.

The four days of VIBASS 8 are organized in two parts:

1) The first two days are a basic course on Bayesian learning (12 hours), with conceptual sessions and practical sessions with the vibass R package. It would be advisable that participants bring their own laptops for the practical sessions.

2) The next two days will be focused on a topic of current interest in Bayesian analysis. The topic of this edition is "Bayesian modelling with brms". This 12-hour course is provided by Javier Enrique Aguilar (TU Dortmund University, Germany).

The València International #Bayesian Summer School (#VIBASS 8), a four-day summer school designed to provide an introduction to Bayesian learning, will take place7-10 July 2025 in València, Spain.
