Of course, the implicit legal argument is equally as horrifying. Suspension of habeas corpus, the justification of other war-time measures, the suspension of civilian law generally (as we've already seen in Trump's "invasion" EO), and obviously violence.

The success of "invasion" penetrating the political mainstream is a real problem. It obviously also forecloses any kindness, no matter how minor, which is why the other site is replete with joy over the suffering of immigrants. Indeed, it turns kindness into treason and violence of another sort.

I hate arguing about people's language. You want to call them "illegals" fine. It's a fake word, but whatever. But "invasion" is completely different. Its obvious, immediate implication is that immigrants are committing violence and attempting a conquest, which isn't just idiotic. It's dangerous.

I think the invasion hoax is just as much about the idea about criminalizing the domestic supporters of immigrants (the Democrats) who are βtraitorsβ and βtreasonousβ for not wanting to shoot the βinvaders.β So they can square this circle with more insane triangulation

The incoherence of the "invasion" idea is particularly bizarre when you consider the fact that these people all accept that the US government invited these people here (as a "political play") and they followed US law ("gaming"). Name an "invasion" that meets this definition.
