The man is currently in town dealing with a family friend (in my neighborhood) who is on their death bed. And I guess his walk was to clear his head. I can only hope talking with me and petting on Ghost made is day a little easier to handle.

I don’t really know where the idea to go for a walk came from—I had no plans to. But it feels like I was meant to. I’m not religious, but it’s a little…eerie? I don’t know.

Learned his father passed from dementia. As will mine.

Learned he’s into drag racing (🏎️) which small world, my parents are too. And he seemed excited to have someone to talk to about it.

He joined me on a 15 minute walk with my dog, and just vented about his dad and uncle passing, and how relatives and people he didn’t know were coming and demanding stuff, and just how tired he was.

Considering my dog is 110 lbs, Andy bullshit meter wasn’t going off, I said sure.

The guy is looking real sad and thoughtful as he pets on Ghost. He said he’s ex military, and he’s been dealing with a lot of death in his family rhe past couple years. And after a little he’s like, so you mind if I walk with you?

Ghost and I made it not even a minute into our walk, when we encounter a man. Shaved head, tattoos, kind of tough looking. I say hi as we approach cuz ykno, awkward turtle. And he asks if ghost is friendly and if can pet him. Said yeah.

Felt like crap from being outside for hours this afternoon, but after dinner, when the sun was going down I randomly thought, “I should take the dog for a walk.” It’s only 72 degrees (F).

Decided to take up video editing as a hobby. I’m currently making short YT vids of my Pokémon cards using my phone and doodling around with them. It’s been pretty fun so far, and even only doing 2 vids I feel like I’ve learned a lot.

My anxiety meds are the only thing keeping me afloat right now and boy are they struggling. It's incredibly difficult to hear 'focus on the things you can change', when it feels like everything in this gd country is beyond your control.

I've been struggling with angry-grief watching my husband trying to navigate his layoff from his dream job. I want to help him but aside from 'being there for him', there's nothing I can physically do to rectify the situation. And it sucks.

I don't think I've been this depressed since my grandma died the other year. I feel all of the positive work I've done on myself just flying out the window.

My mom always used to tell me that my great-grandma had a saying, "Never do anything you wouldn't want put on the front of the newspaper."

I suspect she would have felt very vindicated at this Coldplay Jumbotron story.
