Literally skin and boneβ€”nothing in between. Appearing mummified, petrified. I didn’t know that could happen to a living person, that one could starve so much. And Zionists are doing it to a million children right now. So unwell that even eating could kill them. Nothing is right.

Your survival depends on more people wearing masks right now.

There's some people who think they share my politics who'd press a button to force everyone in the world to mask if they could. And anyone who would press it does not share my views. If we just address the symptoms without addressing how we got here in the first place, we'll end up here again. It's not authoritarian to make a rule requiring masks in a space. AND there's legitimate reasons some people can't mask. You can make exceptions and you can even write that into the rule. Everyone who can mask, should. Some people wont, but that's why layered mitigations matter.

These were my exact words. The last tweet cuts off but says "that's why layered mitigations matter." I was trying to say that the people opposed to others having free will don't share my politics. But no one understood what I meant and took it to mean I wouldn't end the pandemic & want people dead.

Every day, people log on and ask things like 'why are the vibes so bad, why is everyone in public so awful now,' as if the people most committed to caring about others haven't been completely excluded from public life. Because of the other thing.

One in four people infected by Covid are developing Long Covid. Reinfections raise the risk. 60% of transmission happens without symptoms. 53% of those with Long Covid have severe cognitive slowing. Nearly everyone has been infected. The virus is everywhere. Do you see it yet.

Post from Michael Hobbes: "This isn’t true. The CDC could have done a lot better on COVID but it’s important not to drift into doomerism or conspiracy. Public health agencies have delivered some of the most important advancements in human welfare in history and remain vitally important" progressive institutions.

thinking again how concluding that "everything is fucked anyways so nothing matters and we should do whatever we want" is the literal worst way to orient our livesβ€”why on earth would I concede to fatalism and then navigate my life as if all I love and value is doomed? I refuse to build that future.

Most people have been repeatedly infected, most people don't know how their immune system works, most people can't fathom a life without indoor dining. Like we are in hell.
