This was very disappointing.

23.05.2025 22:30 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The TTC doesnβt have service standards for how transit stops are cleared. This is wildly unacceptable, and impacts so many transit riders, especially those with accessibility issues.
Shout out to Councillor Matlow for putting serious solutions forward, and to Chair Myers for his support.
Doug Ford has spent more time interfering in Toronto than doing his job- being Premier. Itβs time for Toronto to fight back- and have the power, autonomy & accountability to thrive. Sign our petition to begin this work now. www.joshmatlow.ca/charter_city

24.01.2025 02:06 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Ironically, if Ford would have just updated MPACs when he was supposed to, Toronto likely wouldnβt have to increase its property taxes by 6.9% this year.
So in a roundabout way, itβs Doug Fordβs fault your taxes are going up.
The reason? Updating assessments will caused commercial and residential property taxes to grow.
Of course, Ford doesnβt want to be responsible for a tax increase, putting political interest over responsible policy.
We need to talk about how the Ford government continues to delay updating municipal property tax assessment.
Property values in Toronto are still based on their 2016 assessed values. Meanwhile, average home prices have increased from 600k to 1.1mil since.
Thanks for all your amazing work! @ttcriders.bsky.social
