The most concerning thing about this post is that I don’t know which of maybe a dozen things you are referring to.

Maybe we could build some big camps to put them in. Tell them if they work hard enough they will be frei but of course they won’t actually ever be released. Once they are no longer able to work we find a good efficient way of disposing of them in mass groups.

Pretty much, yeah. The police were moving in whatever they were doing, the praying just guaranteed some good photos. I really doubt that any of them believed they were going to be just left alone to pray in peace.

Well exactly - they were going to be moved on whatever they were doing, so at least the prayer thing gets some guaranteed viral images

Let’s be real here - they weren’t a group just innocently praying who got caught up in a situation that had nothing to do with. It was a deliberate tactic to create the photos they got. And fair enough, but let’s not pretend it was anything else.

I don’t disagree, but “former candidate” shouldn’t be a status that carries any weight whatsoever.
