My 2nd fave band behind the Beatles. Saw them LIVE 4 X's, including once on a tour playing w/ local symphonies. THE BEST CONCERT I EVER SAW. 2nd row seats. Actually used to CHAT w/ Justin Hayward & rarely John Lodge, bassist, on here- both left. No idea why. Lots of fake celebs out there.

2/ 1 of their musicians, Mike Pinder, played a keyboard/mellotron, looked like an organ...literally played a TAPE from each key, sounded like an entire orchestra section. Amazing live band. Their music calmed me down...loved them ever since. All their albums well worth listening to.

Wow....1st heard them while coming off a "bad trip"...Sr yr in HS, 1969-70. 1st time ever took LSD or something similar...friend at school put on "Days of Future Passed", their 1st big album, recorded w/ the London Philharmonic Orchestra...unheard of back then. Also had a mellotron...tbc...
