Take Zapata County - turnout in the Dem primary there yesterday was 143% the total number of votes Harris won in the 2024 general election. That's wild.

Here are 4 districts the TX GOP gerrymandered to gain seats in November, with the Dem and GOP primary vote. Dems outvoted GOPs in every one of them.

It only orders the Democratic primary to set aside the extended hours votes. Does not change the GOP’s primary election there. Parties run the primaries & this is more likely a sow distrust and chaos trial run/play by Paxton — won’t help his vote count there.

People outside of Texas know her from her sound bites and camera time on cable and in committee — she’s powerful and talented, but Talarico is not inexperienced and has been a rock star for a while around txlege, especially with public ed community.

Soft is not a word I’d use to describe how he legislates. Fighter, absolutely he is. He’s not a showboat but has always reminded me a bit of Pete Buttigieg. Damn smart and always prepared.

Have you followed his career in the Texas Legislature—smart, hard working, effective, and a passionate advocate. He can eviscerate the opposition with grace and power. His work from committee dais and at the back mic on the floor is very strong.

He needs to work on bringing more of the Black vote into his camp, but his dominance with Latino voters was huge. I think he has a better chance of drawing disaffected Republicans and Independents out. The fact the Dem candidate for Gov was leading Abbott among Ind by double digits is 👀
