Still seems crazy that Richard Hanania wrote for years under a white power banner and is just like, part of the media landscape.

As always, @annieknk.bsky.social manages to approach talking about people that I'd otherwise prefer not to know about with humanity and clarity.

These guys actually thought they could train their audience to somehow only resent Muslims and Black people, and now they've lost the cultural momentum and the monsters they created are looking back at them. They're acting defiant and authoritative about it, but I am sure they're scared shitless.

MAGA media has spent the last few months trying to cope with the fact they've lost control over their audience, after a decade of encouraging the online right's worst tendencies: conspiracy theories, racism, hate, distrust, etc.

An inevitable end point, but the scary question is "what comes next?"
