It’s been a long and particularly difficult week with the realities of aging parents, their health concerns and an erosion of boundaries I placed for my personal mental health.
I know all will be well in the end, but in the meantime, I need to try to prioritize myself this weekend. Reset.

I did Banana-Apple today for this very reason.
Added the apple as it was also getting questionable, and there wasn’t enough bananas to not add something else
The black cat woke up this morning and has chosen chaos.

It’s adorable how my cat attacks and chases her own tail.
It’s slightly less adorable when said attack occurs at 6am on a Sunday in our bed.
Not phonak, but my aids (and the hubbys) have an app. We pair via the app, and not the Bluetooth settings.

Seeing the 9 year old revert to toddler phase was something else lol
Some days the win is acknowledging that supper will either be takeout, including veggies or a bowl of ice cream, including chocolate sauce. And choosing the takeout 😂

The best part of my partner returning home from his vacation is supper being made for me.
I may be horrible at fending for myself. I can cook, I just don’t wanna.
We have a guy like that in our office. Sends an email then promptly comes to our office to explain said email.
