Since I've seen it happen multiple times now: there are new scammers who copy artist's profiles and DM mutuals/followers of that artist and try to sell them something.

I would NEVER DM you first asking if you'd want a commission! No reputable artist would message you first!!

In simple words, we should not penalize the people around us for the actions of those who wronged us. He should receive his consequences. We need not carry that distrust onto others. We all have our burdens we carry. No need to stack more than is required.

Sorry for the LONG rant, I just wanted to make myself clear in case you/anyone else reading thinks I was defending Iskall. Not that I think you do, ofc!! It’s a just in case for you and anyone else :)

want to “trust anyone too much”, which brings me back to unhelpful paranoia and potential prejudice. We absolutely should expect good choices from those around us. When those expectations aren’t met, consequences occur to restore justice. Ironically, preemptive distrust tends to yield injustice,

event, one acknowledges that they shouldn’t think of everyone as guilty until proven innocent. Every person has a base level of respect you should give them unless they prove they aren’t worthy of it; assumptions about trustworthiness feed into prejudice.
