Just because the rush hit me hard doesn't mean I can't whip up a little party for myself.~

I cut out a parent entirely six or so years ago. It isn't easy, but it has most certainly been worth it.
Without a bit of spite, I have no tolerance for anyone who refuses to extend even a modicum of empathy to me.
I hope you can acquire empathy from your family. It is the least they could do.

Does anyone else feel a bit defeated by sleeping in? I know my body really wanted it, but I am the type of person to min-max my productivity. V~~~V

If I may interject, if that is how your parent(s) speak to you, then their efforts at parenting you are only half-baked. You do not stop consoling your child after they become an adult.
Respect yourself, and assert your boundaries. Hold firm to them until everyone else has caught the rhythm.

It's hard to ignore that I get so achy from finishing a week of work. But for that very reason, my nice and firm bed is such a nice reward.~

Yes, yes it does. I like that it's asymmetrical, but only just barely.~

Any time I have to brulée something, I have to take a long mental stock of my fur, my clothes, my feathers, my apron...
Just to make sure I also don't get brulée'd.~

Employees are very surprised when I have to have a direct and stern conversation with them.
Despite how I prefer to act, I can't abide by certain behaviors in my bakery. And so, I speak in an authoritative yet non-assumptive tone. They must find it jarring!

I really love the whoopie pies, but I'm very curious how they would have tasted with maple extract instead of lemon extract. Like a breakfast-y marshmallow gingerbread flavor.~
