Absolutely, participatory research is so valuable and important when working with young people. In fact a position paper we worked on calls for more of it! I do have some co-creation work that I can hopefully share soon in the PA messaging with adolescents space

Thank you for sharing Brett, you guys in the UK have done great work in creating messages for the public over the years.

20.02.2025 09:42 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Grady et al. (2025) have summarised what works when communicating physical activity messages with adolescents. They describe the communication process in relation to who, what, where and how messages have been communicated to date. They look at how messages have been evaluated and what is the state of the evidence regarding the effectiveness of the messages communicated. Check out the full article at the International Journal of Behavioral Nutrition and Physical Activity now.

It is complicated but here we have synthesised the evidence, identified what we have done in the past and what we need to do now.
So delighted to share my 1st PhD publication, check out the infographic below and full manuscript: rdcu.be/eaAvn
What a powerful authorship team, well done to you all π Lots of food for thought and will no doubt generate a lot of discussion. Very clear recommendations but I'm interested in who you define as "PA professionals", practitioners, researchers, service providers, policy makers, or all of the above?

A little about me, heights and spiders are my achilles heel. Iβm nearly over the heights thing but will never get over those creatures with lots of legs.
Lately our physical activity research group took some time to catch up and be active.
More sport, physical activity, and research content coming
