Both clients & non-clients are welcome to join us for the CSS field trip, July 31 @2-3:30pm, led by Ila Rose, muralist extraordinaire. Ila says, "I believe art is medicine. It allows us to confront obstacles, to sit with that discomfort and then to push forward."
The Arts & Entrepreneurship Programs helps CSS clients learn business skills to promote their art.

We partnered with Eugene Burrito Brigade, and CSS clients came together to paint our very first Little Free Pantry.

St. Mary's Episcopal Church Congregation have been supporting CSS for over a decade! Recently, St. Mary's donated $3,000 through BottleDrop and adopted their FOURTH Conestoga Hut! They're masters of turning bottles and cans into shelter.

Crystal brings both a positive attitude and lived experience of being unhoused herself. She shared that warm and welcoming environments like CSS are “super important when you are out there and have lost hope.”

Meet Crystal, one of our Access Center volunteers! She says she enjoys seeing people happy after getting a shower and clean clothes. “I love how the Access Center has been opened up to people on the waitlist. It is such a beautiful thing. It is life-changing to get a shower.”

It's bath time for Conestoga Huts!🧼🚿This summer, UO Duck Corps have been giving Hut exteriors some good scrubbing. Dustin (the staff taking the selfie 🤙), says, "It's encouraging to see a younger generation work against stereotypes about the unhoused and have an interest in helping their community."
