I forgot. We owned the Spanish launch car S 433 AOX which had every option. We called it Gismo cos it was so loaded. Lives in a car museum in Germany now. Also owned a VVC MGF in volcano which was a press car N 829 SVC which we both raced in the MGCC MGF Trophy series before selling to a friend.

Puppies had a busy morning helping Alison with the cleaning. Bramble especially likes helping mop the floors & Daisy likes to slink into bathrooms & steal loo rolls. Tired now. Recharging the batteries whilst SFC is out shopping!

Swimming pool just been closed for winter. Only managed to get in once this yer. Getting a new leg for next year so should get more use of it next summer. Just need a new handrail fitting to make it safe for me.

We lit the fire for the 1st time yesterday. Intermarché had limited supply of firefighters and no long matches so I guess everyone had the same idea……….

We’ve mainly had dullness today. SFC is hoping to move logs tomorrow ready for next delivery next week but needs to strim 1st which he can’t do until Monday.

Up early as I needed a pee and there didn’t see much point going back to bed. Good thing F1 practice 3 is currently playing live. Bit cold in salon-séjour though…..thick dressing gown on and a shawl around my shoulders.

SFC has bought me a Clinique one this year. The cosmetics ones are really great value if you total up the individual items. I think he’s hoping I’ll be beautiful after 24 days. There are 2 chances, 1 is fat, the other is no!

Been up since 05:30 this am as I had the nurse come to dress my foot and do a blood test. SFC is still asleep. I’m back to daily nurse visits which is a pain in the arse! Means you can’t plan anything as you don’t know exactly when she will arrive. Still went out for lunch at the Bistro yesterday.

Ours was 10:30 this am then the one (and only) flag moved on to Ribagnac for 11:00 and Colombier at 11:30 followed by drinks at the mairie there. We take it in turns for the 11:00 slot. Will be our turn next year.

Collecting for knives currently. Pyrex is used almost every day in this house. Don’t need a kettle. I have a hot water tap! Never bother with the towels, either. I have a whole linen room of them.

4 points off my licence and 90€ fine in the post. Apparently I jumped a red light trying to keep up with SFC going to Mercedes garage in Perigueux and I didn’t know where we were going. If I jumped the light SFC must have almost done so as I was right behind him……

Not great morning. Post bought motoring fine 4 me & 4 points off my licence. Bummer! We took SmartCar to garage & I didn’t know where we were going &, it seems, I jumped a red light trying to keep up with SFC. He must have been close to the change from orange to red! But, no, only I have a fine. Poo

Car collected successfully. Such a difference to drive. Turbo must have been gone for a while but I had learnt to drive around the problem!

Indeed. If my FIIl were still alive I could have tried them on him. He was over 101 when he finally died…..

Me , neither but I feel so sad seeing a potential free food source going to waste.

Mine is 16 years old and a 3 cylinder diesel. It has very low mileage (48,000 miles) so was worth repairing. We are selling the old Berlingo which will fund repairs. We could have used a local garage but SFC wanted to use the Mercedes dealer as they have the specialist expertise.I hate old Berlingo.

It’s so boggy! SFC says he can see (and hear) the grass growing and it’s too wet to get the mower onto the land. We have loads of mushrooms growing. Would love to pick and cook them but not sure if they are poisonous or not. They look like field mushrooms.

Got to go to Perigueuex (sic) to collect my SmartCar who has been enjoying two weeks of luxury in the Mercedes garage there having his turbo fixed. Only going to cost €1,900 to get him out of jail! Hope it doesn’t rain. I don’t enjoy driving in the rain.
