Curlew and Shelducks on banks of Orfordness with the old military buildings in the background taken from a boat on the River Ore
Redshank feeding on the bank of Butley River taken from a boat
Enjoyed a very pleasant @suffolkbirdgroup.bsky.social boat trip on the River Ore and Butley River on Sunday, was interesting to observe a good number of waders from the boat. Also before the trip I managed to see the North Warren shrike which was showing very well #Suffolkbirding

@suffolkbirdgroup.bsky.social After watching the r-t shrike I walked onto the heath and down into the woods. A group of 12 crossbills were very vocal, looked like some juveniles mixed in with at least 3 bright red males.
