Dosbarth Mrs Johnson have been busy making their own vehicles. They have been thinking about how to make the wheels move and attach them to the axel and chassis.

Dosbarth Mrs Johnson have been using their technology skills to create moving Christmas cards!

Dosbarth Miss Burgis Year 4 explorers took their Welsh learning outside today! They used nature as their classroom - practising Welsh sentence patterns by describing what they could see and hear. So much curiosity, vocabulary and fun in one walk! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🌿

✨ What a week for Year 6! From helping nursery with Christingles to painting Galápagos scenes and debating like MPs. They have shown leadership, creativity and confidence all the way through🎨🕯️🗳️

Today Dosbarth Mrs Jeffreys had to dip their hands into ‘The Wonder Box’ and think about the clues that would lead them to the Christmas Story… an invitation, star , candle and a baby. It was great fun!

3MW have been learning about the meaning of the Advent candles and reflecting on joy, peace, love and hope.

A big thank you to Rev’d Sarah for a lovely Christingle service for our Reception and Nursery families this morning.

This morning Nursery and Reception went to St Mary’s Church to celebrate our Christingle service 🍊

There seems to have been a bit of a party theme going on in Reception today! We have been wrapping ‘presents’ … trying to select the right size paper to go around our boxes. We were so pleased with our results! Then, thanks to the PTFA, we had a blast at the disco this afternoon!

Reception learned a bit about space and the planets today. They were inspired by space pictures to create their own space pictures using pastels!

Dosbarth Mrs Johnson have been learning about different mechanisms & describing how they work. They’ve been testing their money skills playing the pop to the shop game & the year 1 children enjoyed their visit to forest school with Flo, they’ve started to make something exciting by weaving willow!

Dosbarth Mrs Jeffreys had a lovely time at the Chapel today singing their Christmas songs to all who attended the coffee morning!

Today Magor Nursery visited Willows Garden Centre in Usk for a fantastic Christmas experience. The children walked through the enchanted forest, went on a train journey, made a magic bauble and reindeer food and then were very lucky to meet Father Christmas 🎅. We were all on the GOOD LIST!

Today Nursery walked to the Chapel in the village. We listened to the very special baby Jesus story, looked at the Nativity around the Chapel and put a very special bauble on the tree 🎄. It was a very special day ❤️🎄

Year 2/3CJ had an exciting ‘Wow day’ today. We designed our own Predator, used the Chromebooks to create an animation and painted silhouette pictures. What a fun day we had ! 🦁🦭🐅🐯

Dosbarth Miss Rourke had an introductory lesson today looking at designing 3D roller coaster carriages using Tinkercad🎢 Great use of their digital competency skills!💻

Today Y6 took part in a workshop on gender stereotypes & how to build healthy relationships both on and offline, thanks to @LlamauUK. Mature & informative discussions around boundaries,safety,online age limits & how to deal with issues they might face on social media and within the digital world. 🌐💛

Reception have been learning about more and less in maths this week.

Dosbarth Mrs Jeffreys have been thinking about how they feel when the have to wait for something special….they were not allowed to open the present and had to discuss whether they thought it was easy or hard to wait. The message is Advent and waiting for Baby Jesus…..

Dosbarth Miss Rourke put buoyancy to the test by designing and building their own mini carriages for a water-ride💦. Great design and problem solving skills, da iawn pawb! 🎢

Dosbarth Miss Paul thoroughly enjoyed celebrating Pudsey day and learning all about being safe online. Be an Internet Legend!
