I wonder if it’s the lack of achievements in government they could trumpet. In 2024 they didn’t have an answer to “why would you want 5 more years of this?”. So instead of a fundamental rethink of what they achieved, former ministers blame the ‘constraints’ (ECHR, Net Zero).

Love love love Remembrance. The story that got the six year olds and the twelve year olds watching together again. So many playground battles the next day!

Seven (not counting ‘changes to maps since the question was written’).
This may be why I didn’t get invited to parties until the turn of the century.

My disgust and fear of the content is currently being subsumed by my bafflement at the form. Acrostics conceal information for a limited audience. It’s a *terrible* choice for an opposition party- you’re trying to get voters to notice and remember. You’re not Keats writing about his sister in law!

There’s a lot of people who think a story has to be a universe, like there’s something lacking in ‘just’ a story. (I’m aware that as a Doctor Who fan I’m in a very shiny glass house).

The Paisley ignorance is from a McCoy interview, so this may be “it is true that it is rumoured” territory.

Members of this household say that JNT changed the scarf because he decided Tartan was too overtly Scottish, when the Doctor isn’t Scottish, he’s a Time Lord. So McCoy suggested Paisley as a replacement correctly gambling that JNT was unlikely to know where Paisley is.

Members of my household would like to point out that the scarf in Time and the Rani is tartan and the paisley scarf is from Paradise Towers.

Rigby’s delighted delivery of “Holmes!” when he finds him on the moor breaks the torpor to be very charming.
I think its reputation is down to Tom’s negging and that it’s the last prominent British adaptation before Granada’s, which blows everything else away (and rightly so).

My pet peeve in ‘mad from the start’ Hamlets is whether they make Old Hamlet one of his delusions.
Jonathan Pryce performed Old Hamlet as a voice in his heads a great acting feat, except you have to discount Barnardo, Marcellus and Horatio seeing his Ghost.
