"The suppression of women in language and law occurs in several forms: by replacing sex-specific language with neutral language; by reinterpreting sex-specific language to refer to gender identity rather than sex; and by referring to females in dehumanizing, biologically

I am so sick and tired of this Orwellian nightmare.
As stated in the report by the UN Special Rapporteur, @unsrvaw.bsky.social , the constitutes a suppression of women in language and law.

Three months to halt Ebola: how the DRC contained the virus In a remote part of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, people are breathing easy again, after vaccines from the global stockpile helped squash a potentially catastrophic outbreak.

Last September, the DRC suffered from its 16th outbreak of Ebola. Rapid international coordination, including shipment of vaccines from the global stockpile, helped bring the epidemic under control before it swelled to epidemic proportions: bit.ly/3OwTC5j

I also struggle with this concept. A mother’s milk changes over time in composition to best support an infant’s development. This is also taken into account in age-adjusted formula for children who are not breastfed. Has this aspect been taken into account in this human experiment with a newborn?

Halbierungs-Initiative - NEIN !!!

A Women's History Month montage in a grid layoutof pioneering women across STEM, education, science advocacy, and related fields. The portraits are primarily black-and-white or vintage-style photographs, celebrating trailblazers whose work advanced scientific discovery, engineering, computing, astrophysics, civil rights through education, and more.

Top row (left to right): Gladys West, mathematician and educator whose modeling of Earth's shape contributed to the development of GPS technology; Jocelyn Bell Burnell, astrophysicist who discovered pulsars; Eleanor Roosevelt, humanitarian, First Lady; Chien-Shiung Wu, experimental physicist who disproved parity conservation.

Middle row (left to right): Edith Clarke, pioneering electrical engineer, the first woman to earn an electrical engineering degree from MIT; Grace Hopper, computer scientist, mathematician, and U.S. Navy rear admiral who developed the first compiler; Marie Curie, two-time Nobel Prize winner in Physics and Chemistry for her groundbreaking work on radioactivity; Pearl Buck, Nobel Prize in Literature.

Bottom row (left to right): Rosalind Franklin, chemist and X-ray crystallographer whose Photo 51 was essential to understanding the double-helix structure of DNA; Septima Clark, educator and civil rights leader; Rita Levi-Montalcini, Nobel Prize-winning neurologist who co-discovered nerve growth factor (NGF); Gabriela Mistral, poet, educator, diplomat, and Nobel Prize winner in Literature.

Of course, just like anybody else! No such map here, though, but we do have quite a few squirrels, a badger, and a hare around the house. Last spring, a squirrel even lived in our house for two weeks after it was accidentally locked in (it survived at the expense of our houseplants).

The fossa (Cryptoprocta ferox) is what arrives when you order a puma off of Wish.

They're the largest apex predator on Madagascar, where they act to control the local lemur population.

They're the 'big cat' equivalent in family Eupleridae, which is a sister taxon to the mongoose family.
