And if I do take her... I don't know. It's just gut wrenching knowing that her time is probably measured in months rather than years. She's helped me through my hardest times. I'm just not ready to lose her.

And then there's the matter of price. Even just a check-up would put me in the red. But I can't just leave a precious family member to suffer. I wish I knew what to do. I wish I had someone I could rely on to help me. To help me make these decisions, to help me take her.

So now I don't know what to do. Leave it for a week or two and see if it heals up? Or go ahead and take her before it can get worse? I know that there might not be anything that can be done, especially at her age, but she's been with me since she was only about a month old. I can't just do nothing.

And well, she's got some lumps and bumps on her, and I know that sometimes older dogs just get those, but she's got a sore looking one on her shoulder, and I've been debating what to do. My parents don't think she should go to the vet, but I'm just worried. I guess I'd rather do something than not

My dog, Stormy, is 13, going on 14 this year. She's an old lady, and I know she won't be around forever. I've obviously known that for a while. I kinda made peace with that two years ago when she almost died. But the emergency vet was able to get her back up and healthy again
