I’m at 70% and loving the writing, art, and soundtrack, but man do I wish there was less clicking through the same text repeatedly when trying to unlock a slightly different ending (the Mio routes have been especially about for this). Maybe I’m just bad with gem usage, IDK.

There's actually a few videos of no-miss clears of Garegga out there (and even a no-bomb, no-miss). The playstyle is a bit weird, you more or less have to avoid interacting with anything to keep rank low enough for it to work.

Celebrating 30 years of Garegga with a Glow Squid double KO (somehow more fitting of the occasion than if I had stayed alive a few more frames and cleared again tbh). Here’s to another 30 years of rank control and medal chaining!

Also, I believe the public unit in Japan is more or less permanently on loan to VGM Robot in Saitama unless something radically changes. Two of us were there in October when it was running (it's only on a few days a year) and it was a little cranky but absolutely playable.

The left side LD player went out. We're working on getting a freshly refurbished unit in there but it'll be a bit.

My vote is still for Sky Shark on account of the simple mechanics, short loop length, and fun-to-learn recoveries. It’s a really cozy little game once you learn the routing but always tons of fun.
