Working on Arcanus' new mana system, having 5 types of mana instead of just 1. Wanted to show off that the mana bar's size is dynamic to the amount of mana one has, as well as a configurable max size to ensure it doesn't take up too much screen space

------------------------------------------------------ Version 1.21.5-r3 ------------------------------------------------------ - enchanting tables now require chiseled bookshelves nearby with enchanted books in them to access those enchantments in the table - enchantments can now be transferred off of enchanted items and onto books using a grindstone - chiseled bookshelves now show the item in the slot you're looking at - enchanted books now show the items they can be applied to - villagers no longer sell enchanted gear - librarians now sell specific enchanted books related to the biome they're from - enchanted books of a certain type are now guaranteed to spawn in certain structure chests. see the main mod page for info! - enchanted books can no longer be applied to tools in an anvil - various enchantment actions have been assigned game events - randomly generated enchantment loot is now actually (seeded) random and no longer uses a hashing function to replace enchantments deterministically - molten particles now disappear faster - fix flying horses - fix projectiles not bypassing cooldown

an enduring pet peeve of mine is when video games have you slaughter your way to a boss through a sea of minions, then present whether or not to kill the bad guy as some kind of meaningful moral choice

started working on implementing a custom guidebook for the mod im working on

had to do lots of fun backend stuff for it. stencils to cut elements at the edge of the page, bezier curves that dynamically change their direction, and it all being data driven so others can add to the book easily

an array of armor stands with different sets of robes placed on them. six of them are open at the body and have different highlight colors (none, green, purple, yellow, red, and orange) pertaining to something I'm not disclosing right now :p in the center is a different set of robes, covering much of the body in its black, blue, and white folds. behind it sits a menacing, armored set with a large feather cloak draped around the shoulders, a skull mask with horns, and spike-toed boots. all of the robes, minus the one with the feather cloak, have hoods. the top image shows them when they're down, and the bottom image shows them when they're up. when up, the hoods obscure most of the face.
