As we slowly approach the anniversary of the January 6th attack on our democracy, we reflect on the resilience of the American people and reaffirm our commitment to upholding the values of justice, freedom, and the peaceful transfer of power. We will never forget the threats to our nation.

Grateful today for Vice President Kamala Harris and her willingness to be a black voice. Thankful that she will continue to build up our community in this next chapter.

Proud of the Presidents decision to pardon his son. This decision was not made in haste, but made over months of pondering and consideration of the facts. President Biden regrets that he lied to the American people, but knows this was the right decision for this country.

Today, I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve as a voice for the American people, especially those who have been historically overlooked. I’m thankful for my family’s love and strength, and for the unwavering resilience of Black communities who continue to inspire change and progress every day.

Two weeks after the election, we continue reflecting on the will of the American people. Democracy remains our guiding light and every vote cast reinforces our shared commitment to a better future. Together we move forward with resilience determined to deliver for every community across this nation.

It has been my honor to serve President Biden for these last two years. First as Press Sec, and as of October, also one of his advisors. I am thankful for his leadership, prowess, and courage to do what is right for the American people.
