Finally got round to trying to book appt to donate blood, to discover I can't donate blood because I had a blood transfusion a couple of years ago (which, ironically, is what prompted me to donate blood). Wishing I'd done it more times before. Someone else do it for me!

Hard to deny that motherhood has drastically improved my cake construction skills. I give you: my son's first birthday cake (the moon), Feb 2022, and his 4th birthday cake, 2025.

Yay! I learnt the other day after this conversation that although 21st Dec is fewest hours of sunlight, the evenings had been getting lighter since 16 Dec (here atleast). The dark afternoons bother me more, so 16 Dec is my new favourite day. (The latest sunrise is something like 31st Dec).

Hooray. Last school visit today! (But the traditional Christmas eve accounting in front of Christmas TV/music to come)
