This song is soft, dreamy and light as air, which is exactly how I’d describe the bulk of songs from another artist: Carly Rae Jepsen. Are the similarities starting to get a little…weird for anyone else? Hilary Duff’s comeback feels like full-on Carlycore, which is notable given her husband slash producer Matthew Koma was previously Carly’s boyfriend slash producer. Carly doesn’t own gentle eighties pop pastiche, but the comparison points still feel unavoidable.
