Out birding for Rosy-Finches. Found Brown-Capped & Gray-crowned. They breed at the highest elevations of any birds on the American continent at 14,000 ft but in winter they drop down to 11,000 feet in large flocks. A tiny, tiny kishu juniperus chinensis bonsai. It has bright green foliage, and has been wired with very fine copper wire into a sinuous, wizened shape. It's potted in two teaspoons worth of soil, in a pot you can hold with two fingers that has a beautiful earthy brown glaze highlighted with vivid blue.

Holy fuck, this is the best bonsai I've ever made.
