I absolutely had my socks knocked off by Sinners. I should really get some of those old timey sock-garters men used to wear back in the day! 😂

And no one ever "votes" for a comedy, but the new Naked Gun was a brilliant sequel to the old franchise.

It was fine. Best movie of 2025? No. But fantastic art direction and design work.

As the old Soviet joke goes:

Still, I had an itch to review it, take a second look. And their publisher is having an absolute fire sale on all their games. Which makes me a bit sad.

*These days, games with a lot of fiddly bits. I tend to run simpler things now.

Probably the lightest version of the FGU "house mechanic" we see in Daredevil and Bushido (Aftermath is the heaviest version).

A fun historic game, sadly I don't think I ever ran more than 2 or 3 sessions before that group graduated High School and scattered.

We all love regular games that happen regularly, but everybody, players and GMs alike, should be able to call for a time-out.

Kick your (possibly metaphorical) feet up and remember to hydrate!

I think I understand the sentiment. But when most who know GURPS think about it, they see it primarily as a tool-kit to build anything with.

In that regard, 3rd edition and the d20 explosion of 3rd party OGL products doing everything from Superheros to Horror might be marginally closer.

I had a pal in Uni who swore that J Caesar's quote on crossing the Rubicon, "Alea iacta est/The die is cast" was a comment about metal tool making, that Caesar was stating he was forging his destiny.

Of course the Latin words for tool dies and metal casting are different.

J World: Rebirth. Standard Jurassic sequel pattern. Some kids/family are stranded while some mercenaries try to recover something. And every time you write that script it gets worse.

As "Adventure Comfort Food" it's okay. Not a good movie, though.
