Because then you look at a poll by like, some A rated right-leaning pollster like Beacon & Shaw or AtlasIntel, and its like "44% of ppl are cool with trans, 51% aren't, 5% couldn't say" and then they get the same result for Trump's support as well

Which makes me figure that those polls must be reaching some specific audience of respondents who are all conservative pearl clutching centrist dems and nevertrumpers, equally scandalized by Trump's shenanigans and my existence as a woman

And as a six foot tall trans woman with pink hair who teaches at a rural college in texas, I find the students are surprisingly cool with both me and Donald J Trump lol

Something I think abt a lot is how there is a specific genre of like, old school lib pollster (Ipsos, Gallup, YouGov to an extent) where the results for every poll on Trump approval is like "Everyone hates Trump" and every poll on trans people is like "Everyone hates trans people"
