A hard act to follow. Was wondering who would be chosen to replace him. A good choice. Looking forward to reading it.

9. Defence Protocol by Brian Andrews and Jeffrey Wilson, 2024.
Books 24 in the Jack Ryan series. Presidant Ryan and his daughter in the Navy must stop a Chinese plot to invade Taiwan.
Great stuff. Katie Ryan is a better character than Ryan Jnr.

8. The Silence of The Unicorn by Steve White, 2024
Wonderful and charming book, in the vein if Tintin.
Tara Togs gets mixed up with some art thieves and forgers.
Manages to capture the mini cliffhanger at the end of each pages that early tintin had.
Books 2 is coming soon!

Thomas Harris also wrote Red Dragon,Silence Of The Lambs, Cannibal and Hannibal Rising. Each one adapted into a film.
Only one book (Cari Mora)of his unadapted...so a adaptation rate of 83%
Even Stephen King hasn't been adapted at a higher percentage.

Not as good as Cast A Deadly Spell as it changes the world built in that film (magic use). Dennis Hopper is not as engaging as Fred Ward. Julian Sands does good work as usual.
Great story though. Worth watching.

Not true.. unwilling to pay the Crichton estate for the rights to the character. Just being cheap.
