A coloured traditional piece that features Nimbus, happily discussing something with an alarmed Scarlette. The latter isn't sure how to respond, but something must've caught the young feline's attention that enabled her to try and start a conversation with the secretive feline. I didn't put any effort into the background. I just wanted a colour to contrast against the two, and somehow orange-to-brown was my go-to. Look, it helps to make Nimbus and (surprisingly) Scarlette pop out against it. If it works, it works-

@psiontimestone.bsky.social 's Nimbus looked like a fun challenge. I don't usually draw characters who are under 1m tall, so I figured she'd make good practice. I even put Scarlette in the piece, after I found out that Nimbus is a ragdoll cat!

Sketches of a bird (undetermined) guy, who is named Mercutio. His hair parts above his left eye, sweeping to the sides like waves reaching for shore. On the sides of his head are slim, straight locks. The back of his head is a messy bedhead hairstyle, which he ties up. He appears to have ear-like feathers on the sides of his head, giving him a cat-like impression. He could even move these feathers with his expressions. Don't ask how that works. He wears big, round spectacles. He is dressed in a long sleeved shirt, a sleeveless sweater, and below-knee pinstripe pants. I couldn't draw the pinstripes in these sketches, as I meant to get the hang of his design first. And he has a pair of socks and a pair of low loafers, which have been modified to fit his avian feet (as I tend to draw birds with a claw coming out of their heel). He also wields an elbow-crutch, sometimes with a satchel so he could bring his books about. I wonder if I should give him spells.

I got this guy (I name him Mercutio) off of @kyunri.bsky.social a while ago, and I decided "yep, he's gonna be a YA romance main character".

It's probably because I've read a few romance novels as of late, so I've introduced him to a whole world of misery and pain. He did turn out good!

It shall remain forever vague lol

It's hard to tell which is fact or fiction when you're at the whim of a creator who can throw Roslan into whatever situation I want him to be in. But hey, they're having a calm conversation, somewhere in town for the time being. Nothing bad will happen, thankfully. (I tried to draw a sidewalk and brick wall. It looks atrocious.)
