While trading Gore within the division is painful I can see that deal being worth making. What kind of return would you see from Philadelphia? And are they in more of a go for it mode with Realmuto, Schwarber and Suarez being free agents after this season?

Yes, if the Mets put both Jonah Tong and Nolan McLean in the deal that's hard to ignore, but I'd be shocked if they did that. Same with the Phillies and Andrew Painter (MLB Pipeline #8) and one or more of their other top 100 guys.

If the price is 2 MLB top 100 prospects (say one a AA or AAA starting pitcher) and two more of a team's top 10 prospects, and I'd hope that is the price, how many teams can do that and match up with what the Nats need?

Would Abrams be better defensively at second? Is a positional switch with him even realistic now if his defense would be better there? And what's the realistic path to third wild card contention and 85 ish wins by the time Wood is in his contract year?

This is extremely good, and would be worth the (free) price of admission just to relive the Nyjer Morgan glove spike.
