Thankfully I was encouraged and supported by my mother growing up to foster creative practices, in piano, chorus, theatre, animal and garden care as well as yoga, swimming and the arts. 🎭 Micro-dosing creativity strengthens CreativeMindset! Attention to positive moments buffers negativity.

I noticed this funky pod in my plants; asked google to id; but id of “evil goatweed” was incorrect; I noticed my new Mexican Ruby 🌺 Azalea is sprouting these seed pods! The azalea is a tree I planted to honor my mother! The magnolia honors my brothers.

Right brain practices are therapeutic! This is evidence-based. Today I went out of my way to check on this tree I planted last year. Found first magnolia flowers budding!!

Three new pots on the deck, too. The plantings come from our public high school FutureFarmersofAmerica club and the locally owned Ace Hardware.

In the big blue ceramic pot I planted an Arbor Foundation recommended Serviceberry Tree on March 12 for my mon’s birthday. The serviceberry will feed the birds. Now the Mother and Son plant groupings create a place to visit and reflect on my deck.

We are a Picture Story kinda Creature, us human beings. Here’s a small Mother’s Day planter project. A little patch to nurture. Let’s watch it grow together.
