They won't. They'll come from insurance and taxpayer pockets (both directly and via increased insurance premiums.)
11.11.2025 18:31 โ ๐ 13 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0No, Rs have agency. But they've made it clear (a) what their priorities are, and (b) they're not going to change their minds. Not that they can't but they don't want to.
This is why we focus on trying to get Dems who will actually fight: while the odds are miniscule, they're greater than zero.
Over what time frame?
And how has rent as a % of income changed over that same time period?
Really?
Where are they?
Why aren't they out there right now calling for those eight to resign immediately?
Because they aren't pissed off. There may be a few who disagree, but they don't actually care enough to do something about it.
The many that voted NO picked the 8 to vote YES based on how safe their seats are and how far away their next election is.
This was a decision by the entire Democratic Senate caucus. They are all complicit.
They already HAVE betrayed everyone. When do you start holding them accountable?
10.11.2025 21:53 โ ๐ 6 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0You just arranged to have your caucus give up the fight, and you post this shit?
You really do despise your voters, don't you?
The indiscriminiate slaughter of hundreds of thousands of civilians is "humane enough" for you, eh?

This slipped by because of Wal-Mart's specific choices in designing, building, and operating their site.

"No, not THAT way!"
There's plenty of research on the topic out there, Will.
You just haven't seen it because you don't want to see it.

They always say they'll leave and then they never do.
Who do we need to vote for to actually get rid of the roaches?
You treat the entirety of politics as a game and ignore the very real suffering and death caused by your strategy of ignoring the very real moral imperatives at play.
Better to be "misguided" than a mass murderer in the name of political strategy.
I'll add to that: to give them a convenient scapegoat for their consistent inability* to enact any real lasting progress.

What goal motivated you to post that?

But I think it's worth noting that (assuming I'm reading the AP news election results correctly) Democrats and progressive positions have won pretty much across the board.
Screenshot of AP News election results for Maine questions 1 and 2, showing both called. Question 1 has a 19% lead for NO with 49% of votes counted, and Question 2 has a 17% lead for YES with 48% of votes counted.
And the AP have called the two referendum questions in Maine:
1. NO to disenfranchising voters needlessly, and
2. YES to allowing courts to bar people shown to be violent from having dangerous weapons.
With that plus the other good election news, I'll sleep soundly tonight.
Mamdani is currently leading by more than 125% of all non-Mamdani/Cuomo votes combined.
I hope that continues so there's no chance anyone can make excuses like "Sliwa split the vote."
"Sin carne" sounds somewhat scandalous.
