according to our mutual friend i am one of the few ppl who even bothers putting up w/ this shit from him cuz most ppl don’t entertain it anymore. and now i too am releasing it!!!!! or i will try to…would if i could stop caring about ppl who do not gaf about me :)

and not to keep harping on this but for a moment i thought i was on conversational terms with my (former?) friend/it looked like we were going to be part of e/os lives again but he is back to giving little to no response to my attempts at reaching out so i give up. here’s my announcing giving up

once again the issue has like been resolved and also according to my coworker/supervisor no one on our team was panicking about this other than me. but i will still need a month, two months to not feel like loser <3

the cats woke us up at like 7 (on a day off for us both/2 hrs before their regular breakfast time mind u) and i did in fact then spend the next hour failing to fall back asleep and just obsessing over being an idiot, a failure, bad at my job, wondering if other people have lost all faith in me, etc

fortunately i previously requested the next two days off…although i will still inevitably spend them feeling like an idiot off the clock

had the worst Fucking work day and let myself get riled up into a panic over a mistake that like amounted to nothing. but now i like never want to speak to anyone ever again bc i feel like i ruined everything anyway (i didn’t) hopefully it passes before i have to show my face at the office on friday

that is all from me i just had to air my grievances once again im SORRY‼️

then ppl get the damn shoes and realize they’re HARD to dance with/on and start asking how they can soften the shoe or make xyz modification to it bc “i can’t get over the box” girl as a beginner doing that u WILL hurt yourself like technique is (often) the issue not the shoe being too stiff 😭

and obv when you’re an adult you can more readily argue with instructors/seek out new ones when someone tells u they don’t think you’re ready for pointe yet lol

and i don’t say that in like a “point and laugh” way it’s like i think the culture of adult ballet prioritizes being the “real ballerina” (ie on pointe) u never got to be as a kid and as a result a lot of ppl forgo proper and safe technique just to reach that goal and say u did it

ppl being like “how does my ____ look?” while they deadass aren’t even able to get onto the box of the shoe or press up onto it instead of using pure momentum like girl there are bigger problems…there are much bigger problems

since getting back into dance and engaging with dance related content online i now see a lot of ballet content esp mature/adult dancers working towards pointe and im SORRYYYYY im sorry ok but as an ex ballerina 🫣some of what i am seeing…is painful

this morning is the first that my eye has looked vaguely normal. would rly love if the swelling could quit it by tomorrow so i don’t have to go to work looking insane (already had to do it once)

have had a stye on my right eye for the past few days…really would not recommend this experience to anybody

and the miniature town is populated like there are tiny people and animals…cats dogs birds etc…TINY FOOD…BEDS AND CHAIRS WITH LINENS AND PILLOWS ON THEM

jo’s mom is part of a Pond Society and she sent us pics from a tour they had today of other members’ ponds and there is a gay couple with a pond that is decorated with an entire miniature Moroccan town scene. and there are tiny little waterfalls. and of course the pondscaping is immaculate
