Yesterday I went to a tech store and saw some Macs displayed. I really like the looks of the monitors, but I wouldn’t trade my Windows PC.

I have been thinking of switching to Linux tho, and try to learn something about it…

But the thing I really wanna do is get my desktop PC back!! 😭

Sorry I haven’t been posting anything these weeks!

A little update, I did a small advance with my PHP project for school, and I have been throwing hands with my Java project at work.

Doing maintenance to a 10+ years old project sure is a challenge! Mostly because of all the contributors it had 😂

Living without limits must be exhausting. Why don’t you draw one for yourself?

I can’t believe I am the only one at the team that pushes the branch without failed tests :l

I just helped out a web app dev student with a similar exercise I had to complete myself back in the day. It is great to feel helpful with programming at least to someone <3

It took me a while, but I am getting better at working with Objects and now I know something valuable: Lambda functions increments the Cognitive Complexity in JS!!

Yesterday my project leader told me that it feels really nice to look at the code I make / refactor. It made me so happy!! I always try to do my best and apply everything that my teachers showed me, and whatever I have been learning in my short trip as a web dev. So cool!! 💕

I love that I know enough JavaScript to use it as a tool at work hahaha

Found a String formed of unordered numbers hardcoded into a query, and I my eye started to flick :)

So I did this really quick and voila! Laughs in maniac

I think I would like to try out Java for backend and JSP for frontend this time, just like at work. It would help me familiarize with WebLogic and Struts even more. Or maybe I would go with Angular and Nest.js … I don’t know how to choose!!

I accepted to help a relative building a webapp for their restaurant :) I have already thought about some features, like logging only via Facebook or Google, book a table and canceling it, or check the menu! It would be my very first serious product. I will have to deploy it too. Thinking about tech

It kinda sucks that it seems I can’t manage to get into the tech world more as a professional… Like, alright I just know Java and some TypeScript, but when I read newsletters about tech I don’t understand a single thing!! I want to be a better professional :(( I want to understand you all

Piece of code written in Java that showcases different ways to achieve the same porpoise: checking if an Integer is included in a series of Integer to continue on a task

Have you ever encountered in a similar situation like in the first method?

Time to refactor! It would be more difficult to fully cover that method with test cases, and the cyclomatic complexity could be compromised in more complex situations.

Someone changed the source code and the test cases I wrote broke. I don’t blame them, I blame myself for coding them in such a chaotic way :(

It was a difficult task tho, because my team has the habit of making too long methods. Please refactor your methods and keep them simple! 🫶

I realized that I need to finish my studies in order to keep getting jobs in case I get fired, at least in Spain. I don’t have a clue about making a CV for tech, since I got this job because of an internship… But my job leeches my energy, I cannot think about PHP or the final project at all 😭

All my Newskies: I implore you to go to your account's settings icon, click the thing and choose accessibility, then fix it so you CANNOT post an image without alt text. I am visually impaired (as are many using this app), and alt text is my friend. And my friend is your friend too. Right?

Friendly reminder that you should try to implement Enum or at least static constants if you need to repeat the same String all over your project(s)!! Specially if its value it’s used to apply control flow structures logic 🫶
