04.10.2025 16:17 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Immediately after Brexit, it was the thought of leaving the ECHR that panicked me most.
04.10.2025 09:44 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Support for staying in the ECHR has been rising (probably a Farage effect of solidifying the majority who oppose him, maybe Trump osmosis effect). Media and political opinion on the right believes there is a strong public desire to quit. Badenoch has now committed the Conservatives to quitting.

Well done for uploading the entire exchange, including the context and the mayor's words. I'm sure we can all judge for ourselves who is interested in principles and who is interested in political posturing.

07.09.2025 02:04 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0To be fair to Polanski, this isn't specifically *his* policy but a GPEW policy which goes back to the late 80s. I think a lot of people would like to see it changed, but democracy and political continuity should take precedence.
04.09.2025 16:14 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Personally, I think it's more fun because it teaches players to avoid damage rather than tank it. This in turn gives a greater sense of power and achievement when the game is played optimally, while teaching players more about the fictional world when failure happens.

Specifically, damage is represented by something called "flight or flight". When you attempt to do something, flight or fight can replace the outcome of that action, especially when you have a lot of it.
I like describing quantities relationally, such as "this is harder than x but easier than y". I think this helps retain immersion as well as building knowledge without relying on actual numbers

There's good and bad aspects to this kind of private charity. On the one hand, it's great when faculty take responsibility for their institution when it needs them. On the other hand, it can signal to government that they don't need to fund universities, because philanthropy will do that just fine.
