Stopped by the salvage yard just to look around. Didn't plan on finding a project, but this #rusty #fork caught my attention. Easy #restoration, right? Yes, but it still took several hours.

Managed to get a couple of ribbons at last weekend's carving show. The little spoon on the right also won 1st place at another show during the summer. Now it will be a gift to someone special. Yes. I know one of the ribbons says 2009. I have no idea why, but whatever.

Making those materials is governed by the laws of nature, but there's punishment associated with them, especially cosmetic alterations. Removing wood from wood doesn't have this kind of punishment if you work w the nature of wood.
