I joke around with my Bosnian coworker that she gives me her accent when we work together. I literally end up with my brain talking to me in the same voice, accent and all 😱😂

I've had my boss tell me that what I love with is nothing unusual, and everyone has struggles. I have to remind her that what she sees of me is a heavily edited version, and that I struggle with understanding a joke, not the language it's in (her's is her grasp on English, just a few words mostly)

Well, I say tinned bc I'm from the rural south it's interchangeable with canned (though that is usually reserved for preserves in jars, idk why). And this was from back when life was more affordable (1990s-2005ish).

Kinda yes and no. It's dependant on where you've been and such. I grew up poor (parents refused 'hand outs') in the south and even in the 90s/00s it was a better choice to grab the tins of food instead of fresh bc it held longer and could be kept with no electricity (they couldn't afford it)
