10.04.2025 14:08 β π 2 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0I had a great chat with Lauren for this podcast! And I even included my knitting as an essential piece of "field gear" for a recreation ecologist. π
18.02.2025 00:42 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I end my classes w/ time for students to write a short reflection of what they learned that day. I typically include a pic of my cats on the slide w/ the reflection prompt. Students have started sending me photos of their pets & plants to include on that slide. This brings me so much joy this term.

But! Field studies are ramping up and I just got back from a lovely place with great colleagues from University of Montana. Yay for collaborative science!
Wrapping up a week of fieldwork at Curecanti National Recreation Area with colleagues from University of Montana. Weβre trying to better understand the experience and movement of anglers on Blue Mesa Reservoir. Yay for collaborative science!
24.05.2024 14:53 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0We joked that I should teach in a disguise so no one would recognized me on campus while I am on sabbatical (the classroom is a βfish bowlβ - all windows). π₯Έ

Congrats to former lab member Susie Sidder! Another chapter from her dissertation was published this week in @info_iasnr's journal. This chapter presents a framework for how animal movement theory could be applied to visitor use....
