Yeah, think you might be right. The 3rd was very soft, but also felt the first 2 would've been avoided if the defence had more confidence in him (no need to hoy yourself in front of the ball when you trust the keeper).

Napkin analysis of Boro. Two full backs in a back 3 doesn't work. That forward 3 isn't good enough in this system. Brynn is safe. Playing an inexperienced centre mid alongside a lad who can't speak English was an accident waiting to happen. Thought Hamilton looked bright (if ineffective). #Boro

While it's been unspectacular, I think Boro's summer transfer activity will end up being shrewd and effective. Adding experience to the 'potential' we've focused on in previous seasons, feels like we're trying to find balance.

I think you might be right, might get 2/3 in the door between now and opening game... but plenty more work to do after. Fair play giving the existing squad a chance, but there are players that we know 100% aren't up it and we need to replace.

Great first half, very poor second half. Could/should've scored a couple more through Forss and Burgzorg, but half time changes took momentum away, and ceded control of midfield. Its minutes in the legs, nowt more, pleased to see less faffing in our own box. #boro
