Nothing in London in the poor parts, and I’m guessing here but probably not up in the north-east either and places like Blackpool because there won’t be enough doctors to make the system run smoothly.

Not quite sure that Carney did. A bat Trump straight away and I was quite surprised.

I thought Rory was wrong too, but I don’t think it’s so much dislike of Starmer as that his experience in Afghanistan and Iraq has made him really opposed to any kind of intervention in those countries and he thought that Starmer was weakening. For the record, I don’t think he was.

If these people are found to be working for a foreign power, Keir Starmer will be personally responsible. Whereas when a senior Reform colleague is jailed for ten years for taking bribes from Russia, that is nothing to do with me.

I think I've commented before that Ms Badenoch wouldn't recognise a fact if it stood in front of her and introduced itself! She is increasingly making ridiculous, insubstantial claims clothed as reality - she will come unstuck - hopefully soon.

Gavin Newsom, the Democratic California governor, likened Israel to β€œan apartheid state” on Tuesday in comments sharply critical of the country’s joint war with the US against Iran.

The number of civilians killed in Israeli bombings of Lebanon since the beginning of spring has exceeded 100, including children

Such a strange thing seeing members of HM opposition, Reform and the Right wing press absolutely desperate for an attack to happen on a British base.. Cyprus or otherwise.

Wishing death and destruction on Brits so they can use it to attack the Labour government. Completely Ghoulish and Traitorous

"Why Trump turned on Britain"

Because he's a lazy, senile, irresponsible, necrotic imbecile with the temperament of a spoilt toddler who has never been told "no" by anyone.

Sir, For the first time I totally disagree with one of your editorials, which states that the UK should join the war alongside the Americans. To keep the UK out of this conflict is the bravest, strongest act by Sir Keir Starmer in this parliament. The Iranian regime without doubt is odious but this war is doomed to fail, just like the ones in Iraq and Afghanistan. It is not supported by the majority of Americans and will cost billions of dollars and many lives. At least the prime minister has learnt the lessons of history - unlike his counterpart in the White House.

PM is right to be cautious on Iran

I read James Ball's balanced column
"Trump's Iran gamble could unravel his
presidency" (The i Paper, 3 March) with interest and, yes, his all-guns-blazing action might indeed come back to haunt him.
He and his gung-ho colleagues may have read the room wrong and the American people will be furious if many of their young people die as a result of this war.
Seemingly diplomacy is at an end and his presidential call of
"America First" rings eerily empty. There is no doubt that the Iranian regime which targeted its own people had to be stopped, but is this the best way to do it?

My son was sent to the Gulf when Blair involved the UK in the last American-led fiasco.
He still bears the mental scars. Consequently, Starmer's reluctance to get involved now is good news to me.

Those who criticise
Sir Keir Starmer for not supporting Donald Trump might consider the possible consequences. Has it occurred to them that the Prime Minister is trying to minimise the risk of Iranian retaliatory action, either militarily or by individuals, by refusing to participate in this conflict? His duty to protect UK citizens is a priority.

Letters in The Times and iPaper that reflect the views of British people far better than the deeply partisan, stupid and disloyal headlines of the rightwing press. Showing there is simply no issue on which they will just calm down and support a Labour govt. Not one. Not even in a war no one wants.

Nothing about this makes sense, Simon. Nobody knows why they did it other than Netanyahu’s quite naked admission of opportunism.

Don’t you think that Netanyahu will be rightly included in the blame along with MBS? Clearly nobody should be blaming anybody other than the actors.

Shabana Mahmoud really is vile massive increase in a asylum applications from Sudan and Myanmar. Can’t think why and her response is to stop students from coming. I cannot vote for this party but nor am I happy with the greens so I’m starting to feel disenfranchised.

It’s not delusion. He knows that’s not the case and he doesn’t care because a failed state will suit him just as well in his plans to get re-elected and stay out of prison and sadly the Israelis are going to fall for it.Again.

I particularly resent rags like Daily Mail gleefully reporting Trump’s bullying of Starmer. It’s disloyal and hypocritical - they’d be screaming from rooftops if U.K. meekly followed European diktats, yet would have us unquestioningly kowtow to Trump. Starmer’s task is incredibly difficult.

I have to say, it’s still sits badly with me that there have been 4 if not 5 reasons given for bombing Iran. Which makes me think Trump doesn t actually have a fucking clue why they’ve done it except because he likes to exert power, and Bibi, because he would prefer Iran to be a failed state.
