We have officially begun our creation phase!

Check-ins will occur on the 1st of each month and our creation will run until late January, as many of our contributors are doing multiple pieces. We hope to have a zine release in February/March 2026!

Ultimately, I realized I had trusted someone I should not have, and I made a lot of mistakes that I will not be making again.

I’m happy to answer any questions publicly or privately.

This is also the reason why I had a delay in bringing on contributors. I wanted to cover all of our bases the best I could as well as ensure the safety of everyone on the project. A lot of what I did involved me having to stay silent for a very long time as to not cause further damage.

I will not be naming this mod, for now. But I want to sincerely apologize to every person that ever felt intimidated or felt unsafe because of their presence in our zine. I am going to be much more vigilant from now on when it comes to the technical side of things and keeping people safe.

They claimed they were going to share ownership, and at the time I had thought I had someone who was just willing to help us out, but I’ve realized that wasn’t the case. I should not have let them do this and have as much power as they did.

As for why this happened- this mod had volunteered themselves to create and handle forms/spreadsheets even as I was in the process of creating my own from the zine account.

The original contributor forms have been deleted from this page, our team no longer has access to them but they still exist and I fear what may be done to them to have it reflect badly on us.

I will make a separate post and announcement for these forms as I feel including them on the same post would be a little tone deaf.

Because of this, the team and I felt it would be best to reopen contributor applications for a short period of time. We are still bringing on contributors so if you’ve been accepted, you do not need to reapply.

I’m not sure if this was done by accident or on purpose, but it was a mistake that should never have happened. We don’t know how far the exclusion went or if it happened in other areas behind our backs, we had caught one purely by chance.

Unbeknownst to them, I had made copies of our spreadsheets quietly so we did not lose the bulk of information we needed.

It was in moving these spreadsheets and the original ones being hidden where I discovered that this mod had been excluding applicants, specifically from our voting forms.

This mod did not take their removal very well and became hostile and accusatory towards me, further solidifying I was making the correct choice. In retaliation, this mod barred our team from accessing our applicant forms, applicant spreadsheets, and voting forms.

It was clear to me they had not been honest with me even after giving them many chances to do so.

I want to make it very clear- this was a decision that I made on my own and had no outside influence. Their own behavior and words were my sole influence as to why I removed them.
