For over a year in my spare time I've been trying to get an observational study on language at the very end of life off the ground, by recruiting folks in palliative care to see that it's doable and interesting. I've made a tiny bit of headway.

I spent so much time in undergrad taking classes that I thought would be *cool* rather than "useful", and I have gotten so much use from those classes because they helped me *think* better and differently.
I know I'm a weirdo like that, butI wish education was treated like this more often.

Language researchers, unite!
It was an honor to talk with Dr. Brian MacWhinneyโvisionary behind the CHILDES database, built in the 1980s long before open science was a movement. If youโve studied language acquisition, youโve likely benefited from his groundbreaking, open-access work. #psychology

Immunity is a very weird thing. I had early equivalent of MMR in France and a year later, got measles! Blood panels when pregnant with my last child then showed no measles immunity (but mumps/rubella yes)! Got mmr again as adult
