19.09.2025 11:27 โ ๐ 13 ๐ 8 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0idk if this is a weird offer, but Iโm really, really good at reading out linguistic experiment stimuli items, at an even pace, with no errors, with the prosody of your choice, in a very standard southern British English accent. If this would be useful to you let me know. #linguistics
21.08.2025 18:49 โ ๐ 28 ๐ 5 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0For over a year in my spare time I've been trying to get an observational study on language at the very end of life off the ground, by recruiting folks in palliative care to see that it's doable and interesting. I've made a tiny bit of headway.
27.06.2025 12:23 โ ๐ 9 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0I spent so much time in undergrad taking classes that I thought would be *cool* rather than "useful", and I have gotten so much use from those classes because they helped me *think* better and differently.
I know I'm a weirdo like that, butI wish education was treated like this more often.
Grateful for such an inspiring week at my first @isbilingualism.bsky.social. Lots to digest as we reluctantly leave the beautiful San Sebastian!

It was an honor to talk with Dr. Brian MacWhinneyโvisionary behind the CHILDES database, built in the 1980s long before open science was a movement. If youโve studied language acquisition, youโve likely benefited from his groundbreaking, open-access work. #psychology
