I'm serious when I say this. If any of y'all feel like your dreams of working the animation industry are crushed, give comics a try. It's the best way you bring your vision to life in a tangible form. If you can't draw comics, give it a shot. There's no right or wrong way of doing comics.

Switching my goals from an animated series to making it a comic dub instead was SUCH a relief lol. Making a whole show is just too much work for the average person, and that's fine!

As someone who wanted get into the animation industry, the BEST way to go indie is through comics. It's a low cost option and it's simple to get your stories made.
